The activities and challenge below have been adapted for in-person and virtual instruction, or a hybrid of both, as well as sent as take-home packets. From summer, to fall, to winter, these guides will help support your OST programs during this difficult time.
The Summer Activity Guide provides you with a suite of student activities and challenges adapted for your program, whether you are in-person, virtual, or a hybrid of both, as well as sent as take-home packets. The Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network has developed these guides specifically to accommodate COVID-19 programming for the 50 State Afterschool Network.
NEW: Learning About COVID-19 Activity Guide - These 40 activities were intentionally designed to teach students the science behind COVID-19 and to help foster greater social awareness and empathy. The activities can be utilized for in-person, virtual, and take home OST programming. This guide has been created with leadership from the Alaska Afterschool Network. Learning About COVID-19 Activity Guide Tutorial (Watch On Demand) - The activities and resources in the Learning About COVID-19 Activity Guides were intentionally designed to support youth-serving programs in engaging students in learning about the science of COVID-19 and developing greater social awareness and empathy. In this training we will review the Learning About COVID-19 Activity Guide, and instruct participants on implementation and use of the guide.
